Jim Inhofe is a life-long Oklahoma conservative
He has consistently fought for the values of greater freedoms, a strong national defense, a smaller federal government, and less government intrusion into the lives of the American people.
Jim has been a fighter for Oklahoma and a close ally and partner of President Trump.
Working with President Trump, Jim has delivered win-after-win for Oklahoma, the United States, and the conservative movement. Together, they have:
- Partnering with President Trump, Senator Inhofe passed the largest tax cut in 30+ years and repealed over 1,500 burdensome regulations. In contrast with Obama’s job-killing regulations, the Trump-Inhofe economy created high-paying jobs for Oklahomans, brought the unemployment rate down to historic lows, and lifted millions of people off of food stamps and government welfare. COVID-19 has dealt our nation a major blow, but we will conquer this virus. When we do, U.S. jobs will come roaring back due to the strength of the economy we’ve built.
- Rebuilt the military and supported our nation’s veterans. As Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Jim led the charge to reverse Obama’s devastating cuts to our nation’s armed forces. Under President Trump and Jim’s leadership, we are building the strongest military in the world and we’re taking care of our troops by providing them the largest pay raise in a decade.
- Cracked down on illegal immigration and secured our border.Jim supported the President’s immigration policies since day one. In the Senate, he authored the WALL Act to fully fund the President’s border wall and eliminate welfare for illegal immigrants.
Jim is running for re-election to protect Oklahoma families from the Democrats’ radical socialist agenda and advocate for Oklahoma through his close relationship with President Trump.
As Oklahoma’s senior Senator, he will fight alongside President Trump against the Democrats’ proposed Green New Deal, government takeover of healthcare, and taxpayer funding for abortion.
Jim is also one of few active pilots in Congress and has logged over 11,000 flight hours. He was the first Member of Congress in history to fly an airplane around the world.
Jim grew up in Tulsa and graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in economics. He served in the U.S. Army and has been a small businessman working in aviation, real estate, and insurance for over 30 years. He has been married 60 years to his wife, Kay, and they have 20 kids and grandkids.
He’s plain-spoken and stands by what is right – even in times when he’s the only one with the courage to do so.
