When it comes to energy, the American people want a common sense approach to meet our needs. America has the largest reserve of recoverable oil and gas in the world, but liberals put those reserves off limits. We could become energy independent if we were allowed to develop our own resources. – U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe
Senator Inhofe has championed policies that encourage the U.S. to meet its energy needs domestically, meaning a stable and secure energy supply with quality American jobs. America’s energy policy is a matter of national security.
America is far too dependent upon foreign powers for our sources of oil. Senator Inhofe advocates an American energy supply that is stable, diverse, and affordable. This means increased domestic energy production through the development and refining of oil, increased exploration and production of natural gas, continued development and innovative uses of coal, renewable sources of energy such as wind and cellulosic biofuels, and further development of nuclear energy.
